We employed United Gas to supply and install a new Vaillant eco-TEC plus combi boiler (which they recommended and we have never had any problems with) and to install a Baxi gas fire, surround and marble hearth, all work was carried out to a very high standard, we received a very professional service. Mike is a very trustworthy person who I regularly left alone in my home whilst the work was ongoing, he provides an all-round first class service. We were so pleased with the work that we employed them again a few weeks later to supply and fit six new radiators. We had no reservations about recommending him to neighbours, friends and family who then also had work carried out. My elderly Mum has her gas fire and boiler serviced regularly by Mike, he is always punctual and she is very pleased with the service he provides and always says how friendly and helpful he is. We will continue to deal with United Gas for all our plumbing and heating requirements.

After having a few quotes to install a new central heating system and a new bathroom, we decided to choose united Gas to carry out the work.
We found there prices to be competitive and reasonable. They informed us that the heating would be done first, then the bathroom to minimise the disruption to our home.
The new central heating is fantastic and we are now lovely and warm (after previously having economy 7 electric heating), it is also easy to use with simple timing and control units. The thermostatic radiator valves look nice and are very practical.
When it came to the bathroom Mike Davies project managed the complete job, all we had to do was choose what we liked. We choose a white sparkle P.V.C cladding for the walls as we wanted some way for a bathroom that is not a large room to feel more light and open. Mike suggested white boards all around. I have to say that we have certainly achieved what we set out to. The bathroom now feels much more spacious and light.
The new shower that is linked to the new boiler is so much more powerful than the previous electric shower we used to have. Mike also arranged for the ceiling to be plastered in the bathroom, all carpentry work and some electrical work including an extractor fan which removes the excess steam from the room.
I must say the finished job looks amazing.
We were provided with all the warrantyes for the new suite installations and United Gas provided us with a 12 month warranty on the installation itself.
We had no trouble in dealing with United Gas, we found them to be informative, knowledgeable and flexible to the ideas we had during the bathroom design process.
Their work is of a high standard and they were clean and tidy throughout, we would recommend them and will be calling them when the boiler is due it's first annual service.

I have dealt with United Gas now for many years after the previous gas engineers we used ceased to trade. I have always found them to be helpful and over the years they have done many jobs for us. They began servicing our back boiler and fire in 2009 and have done ever since.
In 20011 we decided to change our boiler, after discussions with Michael we decided to go for a 28kw Vaillant boiler and i must say we are glad we did. The house has never been so warm, we even had to turn it down as the radiators were to hot to touch.
The only issue we have ever had with it, is that the external condense pipe froze in 2012 when it snowed for a continuous period. This was an easy rectified problem that was solved with one phone call to United Gas. After discussion with the engineer, I could see that the weather was the problem and not the installation of the pipe (we have had no problems with it since).
Apart from that minor issue we are more than pleased with the boiler and controls which are user friendly.
Later on in the year I spoke again to Michael about the installation of a new bathroom. He gave us a few ideas which we combined with our own, we were provided with catalogues and relevant information and we were also advised on what sizes would fit in our bathroom.
We choose a walk in shower cubicle, a vanity unit basin and a new toilet with a concealed cistern unit. We also decided to clad the walls and ceiling of the room in a patterned P.V.C cladding which is very easy to keep clean and requires no maintenance. Gone are the days when I need to re grout the tiles (thankfully).
We are very pleased with the outcome and even as I write this in May 2013 to coincide with the launch of United Gas new website our bathroom still looks good today as it did in 2011 when it was installed.
Michael even put us in touch with the carpenter who supplied and installed our kitchen.
I will and have recommended United Gas to anyone that requires the services I have Mentioned.

Our bathroom refurbishment was discussed and several improvements to our original ideas were made. Estimates, furnishings and times were agreed and kept to. The work was carried out in a clean and thorough manner to a very high standard.

We have recently had extensive work carried out to our house and were let down by the heating engineers/plumbers recommended by the builder. We found United Gas Plumbing & Heating on the internet and were very impressed by the ease of use of their website. Mike arrived on site to assess the job exactly as arranged and made some very informed recommendations including the best make and type of boiler for our future needs. The quote was very competitive and Mike agreed a start date that assisted our building plans greatly.
Once on site all work undertaken was as planned, professional and on time. We will definitely use United Gas Plumbing & Heating again and would highly recommend them to any one thinking of having heating/plumbing work carried out.

I called United Gas to my home because my boiler was leaking. A diagnoses followed and the repairs were going to be quite costly as there was a lot of leaks inside the boiler unit.
After having more than a few problems with my current Baxi boiler over the years, I decided enough was enough, it was time to upgrade.
I asked United Gas to give me a few options as to what boiler would be suitable for my home.
Mike gave me Two options for Vaillant Eco Tec boilers, a 28KW and the 31KW. He explained that the 28KW would be big enough for my need's, however if I choose the 31KW model I could get an extra Two year warranty, meaning a 7 year parts & labour warranty instead of a 5 year.
After consideration and taking into account the hassle I had with my previous boiler, I decided it made sense to go for the 7 year warranty. The difference in price made the decision easy enough.
Information was also given to me on how I could potentially save money on bills by upgrading the thermostat and installing a magnetic filter.
The job was arranged for May 2014. They came on the arranged day, covered the working area in dust sheets and were very careful on removal of the existing boiler not to damage my home in any way.
When it came to removal of the existing boiler flue, I was advised that the previous installer had used the wrong size lead on the roof, which was not sealed correctly. I mentioned to Mike that I had been having trouble with the roof leaking in bad rain, it was agreed that this was probably the cause of that. Mike got the correct lead part and refitted the tiles to suit the new flue and make the installation water tight. It's nice now knowing that I don't have to worry about water coming in from the roof now. Once the flue was complete they carried on fitting the new boiler.
It was working by the end of the first day.
They cleaned up and said they would return the following day to flush out the radiator's after the chemicals had been in overnight. They returned punctual the next day, again with dust sheets etc.
I had a word with Mike and asked him to remove my gas fire while he was there, this was extra work but no issue was made of it.
I was shown how to use the boiler & control's, Mike took care of the warranty while his brother picked up the dust sheets and hovered the stairs.
I would certainly recommend United gas in the future to anyone who needs a boiler installed, fire removed or any plumbing/ gas work to be fair.
The boys are polite and tidy, helpful with advice and I thought the cost of the job was more than reasonable for the installation/ products I received.
I am more than happy with my new Vaillant boiler. Thanks Mike & Rhys.
